Description
The exhaust manifold is subjected to extremes of temperature and pressure, causing continual expansion and contraction. Due to the stress of constant, dramatic temperature variations, manifolds might shatter over time. Exhaust manifolds are simple to cast iron or stainless steel components that collect and transmit engine exhaust gas from several cylinders to the exhaust pipe. Insulating a conventional or aftermarket manifold is another type of modification. This reduces the quantity of heat emitted into the engine compartment, lowering intake manifold temperature.
