The starter motor is in charge of turning the engine over during ignition and enabling everything else to occur. The starter motor engages and turns the engine over when you turn on the ignition, allowing the engine to take in air. The starter drive gear is formed to slide into the ring gear's grooves. The pinion is a special gear and spring assembly. The DRIVE ASSEMBLY OMC 18-5671 is extended into the gearbox case and engaged with the flywheel after activating the starter. Then it will start the combustion process by spinning the engine. The DRIVE ASSEMBLY OMC 18-5671 replaces OMC 384781 assembly of Outboard Starter.
