The Carburator to Silencer Gasket (18-0975-9) is used to seal the very narrow space between the two assembled sections of the silencer - a subsystem of an exhaust system designed to reduce noise coming from the carburetor intake port. It also aids in preventing hot exhaust gasses from entering the car and maintaining proper system pressure, and if it breaks down, it will jeopardize the engine performance.

It is compatible with Johnson and Evinrude outboard applications.
